Privacy policy
Mosh Technology AB (org. no. 559345-5479), Spannarp 115, 432 77 Tvååker, Sweden, is the controller for the personal data described here. Questions or requests: support@mosh-technology.com.
The short version. What you record with TableScribe stays on your computer: we never receive audio, transcripts or recaps. We only handle what’s needed to sell you a licence and check it: your email, your licence key and the computers it’s active on. This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics.
1. What you record
Audio, transcripts, recaps, campaign notes and the names you give speakers are processed and stored on your own computer. We have no access to them. If you turn on cloud transcription in Settings, audio is sent to the service you choose, under that service’s privacy policy; it is off unless you turn it on.
2. Buying a licence
Payments are handled by Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd), our reseller and the merchant of record. Paddle collects your payment details, billing country and email to take the payment, handle tax, send receipts and prevent fraud. Paddle is responsible for that data as an independent controller; see Paddle’s privacy policy. We never see your card details.
Paddle tells us that a purchase was made and gives us your email, so we can create your licence key and email it to you.
3. Licence and trial data we keep
| Data | Why | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Email, licence key, licence type and expiry, Paddle purchase IDs | Deliver and manage your licence, extend or upgrade it, handle refunds, help you if you lose the key | Contract |
| For each activated computer: a device ID, the computer’s name, when it was activated and last checked in | Enforce two computers per key, and let you see and deactivate them | Contract |
| For trials: a device ID and the number of trial sessions left | Limit the free trial to two sessions per computer | Legitimate interest (preventing abuse of the free trial) |
The device ID is a one-way hash of your operating system’s machine identifier; the identifier itself never leaves your computer. The computer name is the name your system reports (for example “Annas MacBook”) and is shown to you when a key hits its two-computer limit.
How long: licence data is kept while the licence is valid and for 24 months after it ends, so a returning customer can extend the same key, and then deleted. Trial records are kept for 24 months. Server logs are kept for 30 days. You can ask us to delete your data sooner; a licence can’t keep working without its record.
4. When the app contacts us
- Licence checks, at the start of a trial session and at least every 30 days with a licence: the licence key, device ID and computer name.
- Update checks, at launch and every few hours: a plain request for the latest version number, like loading a web page. It contains no account or usage data.
Like any internet request, these reveal your IP address to the servers handling them. We don’t store IP addresses in our licence records. TableScribe has no telemetry or usage tracking.
5. This website
tablescribe.app sets no cookies, has no analytics or ads, and loads its fonts from our own server. Paddle’s checkout script is only loaded when you click a Buy button; from then on Paddle’s privacy policy and cookie use apply to the checkout.
6. Who processes data for us
- Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL hosts the licence server, update downloads and this website, and sends licence emails (Amazon SES). The data is stored in the AWS region in Stockholm, Sweden. Website pages and downloads are delivered through Amazon CloudFront, which may serve them from locations outside the EU; licence data is not stored there.
- Paddle, as described in section 2.
We don’t sell personal data or share it with anyone else, unless the law requires it.
7. Your rights
You may ask for access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, restriction of or objection to its processing, and a copy of it in a portable format. Email support@mosh-technology.com from the address you bought with. You may also complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, IMY, or the data protection authority where you live.
8. Changes
If we change how we handle personal data, we’ll update this page and the date above, and for important changes email licence holders.
